Dems should be doing their own project 2029, not that they would since they’re just about the opposite of a monolithic org with a central ideology.
At minimum, we should be preparing for mass “crimes against humanity” trials. I’d argue that key figures in the current criminal enterprise should be detained on national security grounds so they can’t burn evidence and flee to Hungary or Argentina or Russia or wherever.
Since a majority of the Supremes have decided that the President is a very special boy who can do whatever he wants, the next officeholder should exercise that power to shake up the composition of that court. Don’t fix all the broken plenary-unitary-executive stuff right away, use it to walk back some of this disaster and demonstrate *why* the less-insane wing of Rs never went that far in empowering the executive.
