Program Announcement

I’ll be traveling to Houston for the ASM meeting, so the links will keep rolling out, but no new posts. This meeting is turning into a great deal of stress, in no small part because the high during my entire time there is supposed to be 100ºF, so outdoor dining really isn’t an option. Guess I’ll be doing a lot of room service.

    Welcome to Houston.

    About half a decade ago, I saw on television the number of days of 100-degree temperature for each year of the prior decade. The numbers ran something like this: 8, 5, 3, 21, 6, 7… The number 21 might not be correct, but it was in the lower twenties, in 2011. I remember driving to school one morning, seeing a band thermometer at 95 degrees, and thinking, “Oh how nice! Only 95 degrees!”
