Skip the Debate and Watch the Post-Debate Analysis Instead

Somehow I don’t think that’s the point Brendan Nyhan was trying to make with this figure:

Still, if you’ve already made up your mind, and you’re watching because you’re interested in trying to figure out how other people might view the outcome, the debates won’t tell you much of the story.

The only time I ever watch cable news is when I’m trapped in an airport lounge or doctor’s office, and I find it horrendous. Combined with these data, I am thoroughly convinced we would be better off–and less misinformed–if we simply watched a repeating loop of ridiculous cat videos. Like this one:
