National Election Predictions

Today’s the big day! Anyway, here’s how I think things will go:

  • Harris wins the popular vote by 4-5%.
  • Harris wins MI, WI, and PA by greater than two points.
  • Harris wins AZ by less than one percent.
  • Georgia is really too close to call, but I guess I’ll be an optimist and give the nod to Harris.
  • Harris loses NV and NC, but by less than one percent.
  • Harris crushes Trump in NE-2, possibly by double digits

Anyway, here’s to hoping for the best.

Hoping you’re right about NE-2, and also hoping the blowback from the rest of the state isn’t too extreme. Downtown Lincoln (and to a lesser extent Omaha) are like these embattled fortresses of liberal spirit in a sea of rural red. The Rs tend to be less aggressively fascist and offensive in NE because they feel safe in their overwhelming majority, but that split vote threatens their worldview.

And of course, hoping your Harris calls are correct as well so we can maybe have a little sanity as a treat in these trying times.

Hope is not a plan. We (America) are totally fucked. I feel especially bad for Ukraine and all undocumented workers in America.
