Newbury Street Without Cars

One of the rarest sights in Boston is a long stretch of street with no parked cars, unrealistic movies notwithstanding. Last week, it was so cold, customers were staying away from Boston’s Newbury Street. Bad for business, but good if you’re curious to see what it would look like without parked cars:


I have a small collection of Boston photos without parked cars. At some point I’ll have to post them, as they really do show how parked cars are a form of ‘visual pollution.’
