Anyway, Republican congressman Chip Roy uttered this yesterday:

While a non-trivial part of the Republican Party has been white Christian supremacist for years–and the Christian is a very important part of the phenomenon*–they’ve now gone full white Christian supremacist.

There has been an influx of fascists to Bluesky over the last few days, and I’ve been blocking their account manually. These accounts are just saturated with a certain kind of Christianity. I would call it evangelical, but some evangelicals are more sophisticated than that. It’s really just Christian fascism.

And now it lives openly in the Republican House leadership.
