Sen. McConnell, Tell Us When You Get to the Bad Part

MITCH HAZ A SAD (but how can you tell akshually?)

Republican Senator Mitch McConnell is, oddly enough, very worried about the consequences of a Harris-Walz victory (boldface mine):

The day after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was announced as Kamala Harris’s choice for vice president, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told a crowd of lawmakers in Louisville, Kentucky, that a Harris administration would spell certain doom for the Republican Party.

“Let’s assume our worst nightmare—the Democrats went to the White House, the House, the Senate,” McConnell said during his keynote speech at the National Conference of State Legislators Legislative Summit last week, according to Spectrum News. “The first thing they’ll do is get rid of the [Senate] filibuster. Second, you’ll have two new states: D.C., Puerto Rico. That’s four new Democratic senators in perpetuity.”

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

Even though Harris and Biden, with a big assist from Ocasio-Cortez who spilled the beans about the possibility of a Democratic Beauty Pageant mini-primary and likely nixing it, managed the handoff to Harris very well, McConnell is assuming this new-found competence will continue.

That said, a boy (who is a resident and native son of the mainland colony of the District of Columbia) can still dream…

Pretty sure 2016 doomed the Republican Party. The rest is just icing on the cake.
