This is a post I would love to be embarrassed about by the time it gets published–because being wrong (i.e., we have COVID wastewater data) would be far better.

I wish I could tell you what the COVID data for the D.C. area are, but no data have been released, either on the CDC websites or on the Verily website for the D.C. area since June 3. The Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant serves over 2 million people, meaning that coverage population is larger that the populations of twelve different states. It’s also the nation’s capital (obviously).

Despite all of that, we’ve had no wastewater data for three weeks.

They are not ‘giving us the tools’, as they used to say.
