    …except that abandoning democracy involves abandoning the Constitution; in other words, it involves a silent revolution, discrediting and devalidating all of the institutions defined by the Constitution — including the Supreme Court. The upshot is that no one controls anything, and the more you imagine that you control, the worse you are going to get hurt.
