As much as I enjoy your collation of interesting stories, I find it increasingly frustrating to click through due the many firewalls in the prestige media.

For example, twelve of today’s 22 (non-science) articles, or over half, are from the NY Times, Washington Post, Esquire, The Atlantic, and The New Republic – all of which have limited or no unpaid access to online reading. I do subscribe to the NYT, so I can read those, reducing the ones I couldn’t read today to nine out of 22.

I certainly don’t blame journalists for wanting to get paid! But I wonder if it would make sense to distinguish the list into two sections, payable and free?
