    Joe Risen’s article on his life at the NYT has some interesting things, but his non-apologetic apology for his fake news about Wen Ho Lee is disgusting, as is his fawning over “Steno Judy” Miller.

  2. The Alaskan DNA study seems to be interpreting the results according to the idea that the Americas were populated by pedestrians.

    How would the data be reinterpreted under the much more likely hypothesis that they came by water?

    (Any outdoorsman can tell you that only an idiot would hike when he could paddle.)
