Sexual Discrimination Unseen

Nobel Prize recipient and biochemist Tim Hunt had a sexism eruption recently. Of all the commentary I’ve read, this tweet raises the most disturbing point:

We will never know how many women left science, or didn’t get as far as they should have due to Hunt’s inability to behave like a grown-up around women.

Related point: If you can’t separate your personal life from your professional life (never mind the outright piggish remarks), women aren’t the problem–you are. If you do this sort of crap, you need to fix this.
