While I found this empty storefront at 7th and L Streets that used to belong to the Walker Thomas Furniture Company interesting, a little internet sleuthing informed me that the company was a defendant in a landmark court case (and the bastards deserved to go out of business):

I make it about 99:1 that the case would be overturned on appeal nowadays, if not simply decided in the other direction. I’m amazed that this landmark case hasn’t been relitigated, but perhaps the Supreme Court is simply too busy these days.
