No, they haven’t become friends of the environment. And, yes, most of the Republican Party at this point can be described as the Crazy Caucus. But they are recycling something: ridiculous slander. Republican Congressman Allen West, self-professed torturer and all-around nutjob, is partying like its 1949:
“I believe there are about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party: It’s called the Congressional Progressive Caucus,” West said at an event Tuesday, according to a partial YouTube video and his campaign manager, Tim Edson, who was there. West was responding to a question: “What percentage of the American legislature do you think are card-carrying Marxists or International Socialists?”
West seems to have missed a Commie or two.
Seriously, Communists? They’re not even trying at this point.
The only thing more disgraceful is that his constituents re-elect him.

I sent a letter to the Palm Beach Post this morning (West’s local paper and where I winter) stating that West is unstable and should be committed for mental evaluation. I also asked that someone look into whether that lunatic carries a concealed weapon, where he might start blowing away member of congress.
