The Good News Is Florida Is a Low Population State That Very Few People Visit

The Republican Party is a party of death (boldface mine):

Florida’s surgeon general on Wednesday announced plans to end all state vaccine mandates, including for children to attend schools, which would make it the first state to completely withdraw from a practice credited with boosting vaccination rates and controlling the spread of infectious diseases.

Surgeon General Joseph A. Ladapo said Wednesday that every vaccine mandate “drips with disdain and slavery.” His stances on vaccines and other measures intended to protect Floridians have drawn criticism from public health experts and advocates.

All states and the District of Columbia have vaccination requirements to attend public schools, while exceptions vary state by state. In Florida, students without exemptions are generally required to get immunized against illnesses such as measles, mumps, polio, chicken pox and hepatitis B

We can expect that measles will come roaring back,” said Paul Offit, a pediatrician and prominent critic of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “Other infectious diseases will follow. This is an unprecedented move that will only put our children at unnecessary risk.”

Note that this has to be approved by the Florida Legislature, so hopefully, saner minds will prevail.

This will be great for the tourism industry. Parents of small children: “We’re going to Disney World!… Maybe not?”

For all their many sins, Democrats don’t do this shit.

Well, for the better part of DeSantis’s (“DeathSentence” to many in the state) second term, the legislation has been in total lock-step with everything he’s ever asked for, as Disney would attest.
