I’m going to assume from the permanent masthead of this site “adult language” is allowed at times. That’s my preface to this link:

*** Russia Targeted Elections Systems in All 50 States, Report Finds ***
In my humble opinion that report is pure and unadulterated horse shit. The wiki for the Senate Committee has a member list.
    Richard Burr, North Carolina, Chairman
    Jim Risch, Idaho
    Marco Rubio, Florida
    Susan Collins, Maine
    Roy Blunt, Missouri
    Tom Cotton, Arkansas
    John Cornyn, Texas
    Ben Sasse, Nebraska
    Mark Warner, Virginia, Vice Chairman
    Dianne Feinstein, California
    Ron Wyden, Oregon
    Martin Heinrich, New Mexico
    Angus King, Maine
    Kamala Harris, California
    Michael Bennet, Colorado
    (Ex officio)
    Jim Inhofe, Oklahoma
    Mitch McConnell, Kentucky
    Jack Reed, Rhode Island
    Chuck Schumer, New York
I could instantly identify several frothing-at-the-mouth neocon nuts and warmongers. And a bunch more who don’t have a speck of integrity.

That’s just the Chairman. But for the sake of brevity, let’s concede they’re totally correct. That Russia used its hackers to sniff every single election. If the Russians can do this evil, So Can Every Other Nation In The World. Or any billionaire. Or any fanatical private group. Only on the next-to-last sentence on the final page did I find this:
*** We must provide states the funding necessary tomodernize and maintain election infrastructure, and we must take commonsense steps to safeguard the integrity of the vote, such as requiring paper ballots in all federal elections. ***

Have any of these brainiacs ever introduced Legislation requiring Hand-Marked Paper Ballots, Counted By Squads of Suspicions Humans, and guarded for 5 Years? If they have I sure haven’t caught a hint of it. No, they only want to make a lot of noise about Russia. Russia. And Russia. Word Count:
    Russia 261
    China 1
    Iran 1
    North Korea 1

    Again, Pure H.S.

I cannot refute this guy, for the bafflegab is over my head. If we met face-to-face he would bury me with a snow job of technical terms. But he’s wrong, and the one part I clearly understood makes me suspect he’s dishonest.

“The fact that even with measured unemployment below 4 percent wage growth has accelerated only modestly, and inflation has not accelerated at all, is important evidence for this view.”
The word “measured” is probably cover for the fact a dishonest yardstick is being used for employment. The business about inflation ‘not accelerating’ is a flat lie. I used an inflation calculator to make a timeline back to 1919, as far back as that site would go.

A Ten Dollar item in 1919 – cost of exact same item in listed year:
    1929 $9.88
    1939 $8.03
    1949 $13.76
    1959 $16.82
    1969 $21.21
    1979 $41.97
    1989 $71.68
    1999 $96.30
    2009 $124.01
    2019 $148.06

That sure as hell looks like “acceleration” to me. (and never mind that “inflation” is downplayed in the Official Statistics – just like unemployment) The next link is one I’ve posted at least half a dozen times since I’ve been on the internet tubes, and here it is again.
    https://www.garretthardinsociety.org/docs/hardin_living_within_limits_ch_8.pdf

Garrett Hardin was a real contradiction in terms – the man was a Libertarian, but how many honest and decent ones of that breed have you ever heard of? Real resources do not “breed”. They may be ‘discovered’, as in a new ore field or energy source, or inventions may be made making things more efficient. A telephone beats a semaphore just about every time, and the advantages of a jet airliner crossing of the Atlantic compared to the voyage of the Mayflower are quite substantial. Still, in both cases the improvements are not to be compared to the growth of Debt. As Hardin says, the “increase of Debt” has no limits at all. People pretending otherwise have some kind of agenda.

Hardin lists several historical outcomes of the deliberate inflation of currency. All are ugly, but I’m privately predicting Hyperinflation is what is planned for the current situation. The advantages of this ‘solution’ for the Top .01% are really substantial. IMO that’s why nobody is a bit worried about Trillion Dollar Deficits anymore.
