The Ides of March was a declaration, by the Daily Kos operator, that the primaries were over (true) and that management would no longer tolerate people being self indulgent assholes (true, and a very good idea).

Some people could not handle this. No surprise, these were exactly the people against whom the edict was direct. But to the great shame of the Left as a whole and of the Bernie Sanders movement in particular, the Bernie faction of the Daily Kos Community chose to support the jerk distruptor trolls and their bomb throwing tactics at the conscious expense of any possibility for the Daily Kos Community to advance leftist goals through the vehicle of the Democratic Party.

And now we have President Elect Trump.

Personally I think that way too many people became cocky over Clinton’s chances of winning the election (not an unreasonable calculation, by the way) so they spent their time positioning themselves to best advantage in the post election struggles – trusting that some one else would do the work of winning the election.

I say that, after you have scraped away the sweet butter frosting layer of Monday morning quarterbacking, every point that Old Left makes in the diary you linked is an admission that everything I have said here is correct.
