How One Man Tried to Write Women Out of CRISPR, the Biggest Biotech Innovation in Decades (this is one of those times when I link to something I think is wrong, in that it conflates cause and effect. The same thing would have happened if they had been men; I don’t think sexism is at play here)

Hillary and Bernie: The Credibility Gap (it’s amazing, to me anyway, that someone who knew she was running for president would take millions in speaking fees from Wall Street and Pharma. It’s even more amazing how many ‘progressives’ are willing to give her a pass on that–and apparently are willing to waste a lot of time defending this greed)

We get it. The Bernieswarm loves Bernie, and Hillary can do nothing right. Purity Trolls will troll, with purity, and those contradictions don’t heighten themselves.

On Zika related matters: anyone know why the genus of Aedes aegypti is abbreviated “Ae,” rather than “A.”? I’ve seen this all over the place, and can’t recall ever seeing any other genus abbreviated with two letters.

A speaking fee is made with the expectation that you will make a speech. Campaign contributions are made with the expectation that you will get special privilege. See the difference?

I’m all Bernie – but Hillary doing speeches does not equal Hillary doing corruption.
