    As much as I love to hate Murdoch stuff, I think that’s a “special” issue that was planned out long before he took over – NatGeo was already doing stuff like that, especially on its cable station, before Rupe came along. Here is the ToC for the current actual issue.

    I am a subscriber and my most recent issue has a cover photo related to the Virgin Mary. Also, the ad on the address leaf is promoting archive articles about various Christian saints and themes.
