The Death Star The lights designed to stop traffic at the corner of Arlington and Marlborough are now operational:

I predicted this would be a boon for pedestrians and annoying to drivers. I watched traffic for a few minutes, and a couple of drivers weren’t used to the new patterns and slammed on the breaks after coming off of Storrow Drive (and no, I did not stand there and push the walk button over and over…).

Good for pedestrians though.
