By now, you’ve probably seen the footage of Broussard the president of Jefferson Parish, LA, claim that his communication lines were cut by FEMA, and that he had to station guards to protect the parish’s comm systems. Can anyone explain this (or have you heard an explanation why this happened)? I hope FEMA’s disaster management plan isn’t to destroy what remaining communications there are in a disaster zone. Maybe they were trying to patch in, and screwed up?

The alternative is that we have to engage in X-Files type speculation…
