    David Atkins lies down with dogs, and now he complains of fleas. He doesn’t mention his buddies on dailykos.com who are gleefully plotting to teach the hated Democrats a lesson by throwing the elections to the Republicans, teaching them to fear “The Left” – by which they mean their little gang and their pretend radical fellow travelers who know that THEY are not going to suffer in the GOP deluge. Have your cake or eat it, Davey, you can’t do both.

    Bruenig on structural poverty is very good. Except that he leaves out race and minority status, which are correlated with poverty, and are structural features. Also, even if only 3% of people remain constantly in poverty over a three year period, how many go into and out of poverty over a longer period of time, depending on unemployment?
