In light of yesterday’s Epstein file release , which suggests at the very least Adjudicated Rapist Trump knew about the child rapes and at worst he participated in them*, it appears the Republican-controlled and Trump-subservient House will only vote on funding the government and not releasing the Epstein files.

While some Democrats are hurling invective at Trump (Rep. Seth Moulton unequivocally called Trump a pedophile on MSNBC**), we still need more. This story wouldn’t dip out of the news if Democrats were to say things like “We know he rapes women. The only question is does he also rape girls.”

Pithy one-liners aside, every Democrat should be calling for Trump’s resignation. You do not have to give an adjudicated rapist the benefit of the doubt on this. No, impeachmet won’t clear the House, but we should never normalize this kind of behavior. The uniform position of the Democratic Party should be that Trump must resign.

*There should be a lot of questions asked about what “spent hours at my house with him [Trump]” means.
