But it’s all about the price of eggs (boldface mine):
A person described as a “top banker” by the Financial Times said the success of President-elect Donald Trump has freed them to spout slurs without fear of repercussions.
“I feel liberated,” the banker told the paper. “We can say ‘r—-d’ and ‘p—y’ without the fear of getting canceled… it’s a new dawn.”
The quote is part of a broader report about the way that more of corporate America under Trump’s second administration now feels unshackled by prior restraints and no longer feels the need to even make performative gestures toward the public good.
Added from the Wall Street Journal:
Even the way people on Wall Street talk and interact is changing. Bankers and financiers say that Trump’s victory has emboldened those who chafed at “woke doctrine” and felt they had to self-censor or change their language to avoid offending younger colleagues, women, minorities or disabled people.
“I feel liberated,” said a top banker. “We can say ‘retard’ and ‘pussy’ without the fear of getting cancelled . . . it’s a new dawn.”
Imagine winning at, well, capitalism, and still being so empty and void inside that you feel the need to be an asshole (though arguably, that might be why they’re good at 21st century capitalism…). Nothing is ever enough for these assholes. And don’t think for a moment that the classes of retard and pussy don’t include anyone who isn’t in their social stratum, even though there will be a lot of insecure dopes who think otherwise.
They are telling us who they are.
