I Thank Nine Percent of Vaccinated Americans for Their Service

Here’s a very intriguing finding in a recent YouGovAmerica poll–note the red squiggles I added:

I hope this is a ‘protest answer’ and not a seriously-held belief, but, at this point, who the hell knows?

Thank you for your sacrifice, you crazy ass nine percent.

    This looks like another manifestation of the apparent fact that around ten per cent of the population are morons – you’ll see about that number agree to almost anything in surveys like this. Notable examples include belief in [insert conspiracy theory] or personal ability to defeat lions or elephants in unarmed combat. These people seem to either genuinely believe in the stupid thing, or to be unable to fully understand the question.

    • Or joking. And it’s usually up to 5% who will answer yes to anything, including “have you ever been decapitated.”

      Maybe some people figure tracking chips are better than Covid? I know my phone’s tracking me, but I use it anyway, and even choose to enable ‘location services’ for a bunch of apps.
