    What realthog said. The RUC had its share of bigotry and violence, but almost certainly less so than any major US police force today. Also, some of the worst shooting incidents in the Troubles were committed by the British Army, not the RUC. I really hope it won’t happen, but sending out National Guard soldiers to police riots is asking for another Bloody Sunday.
