    1) We don’t have to “force” the fossil fuel industry to do anything to move off of carbon as a fuel. All we have to do is provide new 100% renewable energy at a price so low nobody will buy carbon fuels anymore.

    2) The fossil fuel companies do NOT have to leave all that carbon in the ground. They simply have to stop providing it in a form that burns. In other words, they need to use that carbon in other products, like plastics, or graphene, or fertilizer, etc.

    3) You want to get the fossil fuel industry get into line and stop fighting progress? Keep talking about nationalization of the fossil fuel industry.
