    You know what is really sad?

    The hysterical squealers have done such a good job of conflating the NSA with the CIA that a lush like Charlie Pierce can – apparently in all seriousness – claim that the CIA’s appalling record of torture and murder is just a subset of the Great NSA Spy Drama. Thus does the over reaction to Snowden’s leaks help cover up the very real crimes of the national security state while the Left squanders its energies in the fruitless burning of witches and chasing of ghosts. They must be terribly proud of themselves.
