For the next few months, the New England Aquarium in Boston is undergoing some renovations. During that time, the iconic ‘Pillar of Reef’ that you can walk around has been drained. In the meantime, the fish in that exhibit have been moved to the floor tank where the penguins usually are (the larger penguins are offsite, the little blue penguins are in a different part of the aquarium). Anyway, to return to the title of the post, there are some really big fish at the Aquarium (the scale is one six foot tall redhead):
The tail on the larger ray is about four feet long.
