    While I do generally agree that dogs on public transit are a sticky issue, there does need a workable option if we are to encourage people to move away from being car owners, considering 39% of American households have at least 1 dog (according to the Humane Society).

    BART’s solution is to require animals to be crated. Not that I’ve ever seen anyone get a ticket for having a only leashed though…
