The Strategic National Stockpile has just shipped amoxicillin, doxycycline, and tetanus vaccine to New Orleans and elsewhere. The amoxicillin and doxycycline will be very important, particularly for treating infants (Cipro isn’t a good idea for stressed infants). It looks like HHS has its shit together; they’re anticipating potential problems. Maybe they can be in charge of the next natural disaster?
