Cops and wannabes have been using the internet for years to teach each other how to cop. Before that, they used BBS systems. That’s why they all believe horseshit like “fentanyl can be absorbed through the skin” and “I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6”.
Another thing they believe is that a dead person’s heirs collect smaller judgements in lawsuits than a live victim does. That is why you will often hear about them preventing people from rendering aid to someone they’ve shot.
ACAB should really be ACASB, with the “S” standing for stupid, or smug, or shady, or spineless.
Want to reform policing? Disarm them. Completely. They shouldn’t be able to carry anything more harmful than a handkerchief without advance approval from a judge, to whom they have presented solid evidence that the person they are going to arrest is dangerous.
Why the fuck should a traffic cop be armed with a 17 shot 9mm semi-automatic pistol, a taser, pepper spray, and a club? And make them dress like dorks in hi-vis vests like they do in the UK. If nothing else it should weed out the chickenshits, and the macho assholes who think they’re “blue knights” meeting out the punishment that the “liebrul” judges won’t. It should also reduce the number of cops who get hit by cars, since that’s one of the biggest ways they get hurt or killed on the job.
