Here’s a very intriguing finding in a recent YouGovAmerica poll–note the red squiggles I added:

I hope this is a ‘protest answer’ and not a seriously-held belief, but, at this point, who the hell knows?

  1. This looks like another manifestation of the apparent fact that around ten per cent of the population are morons – you’ll see about that number agree to almost anything in surveys like this. Notable examples include belief in [insert conspiracy theory] or personal ability to defeat lions or elephants in unarmed combat. These people seem to either genuinely believe in the stupid thing, or to be unable to fully understand the question.

    • Or joking. And it’s usually up to 5% who will answer yes to anything, including “have you ever been decapitated.”

Maybe some people figure tracking chips are better than Covid? I know my phone’s tracking me, but I use it anyway, and even choose to enable ‘location services’ for a bunch of apps.
