So, I really don’t think Democrats should figure out how to suppress Republican voters–no one should be suppressing anyone else’s vote. But if Democrats did, that probably would force Republicans to get on board with a voting rights act–or enough of them anyway (the bugshitcrazytarian caucus is quite large in that party).

Still, imagine if Democrats introduced legislation requiring proof of vaccination against COVID-19, perhaps calling it a ‘voting safety measure.’ That definitely would lower turnout.

It shouldn’t be done for all sorts of reasons, but it does illustrate just how ridiculous and phantasmal Republican voting suppression policies are.
