I consider this a strike against the woman. Everybody getting high speed internet “access” would be nice, but I think she’s wanting to direct the political conversation towards relatively trivial things. As of now I have no reason to believe Warren takes Climate Change seriously. I also doubt if she has any intention of curbing Big Military Spending.

I hope this doctor is available for desperate women of all faiths. Additionally, I wish the WP had not published the story, even if that’s what the doctor wanted. The holier-than-thou crazies have a history of getting people like her murdered. All in the name of Our Lord Jesus, of course.

This is a very long article. It’s also incoherent – I found myself getting more and more stir crazy the further I got into it. Since Jonah “doughy pantleg” Goldberg (author of “Liberal Facism”) became Editor-In-Chief of the Atlantic Monthly I’ve refused to pick up free issues of the magazine. This is an example of the “why” of that decision. Goldberg, a confirmed rightwingnut with a long history of Climate Change Denial, assigned a recent graduate (BA, Music) to a job he just isn’t qualified to do. In effect, Goldberg is continuing the grand tradition of Fox News and the rest of burying the public in BS and babble. I don’t doubt the sincerity of the young author, but this was a job he wasn’t qualified to do, and IMO that’s precisely why it was given to him.

The author of this one has an undergraduate degree in what the college site calls “english/spanish”, and a Masters in Journalism Unfortunately she doesn’t have any real understanding of what has caused the present crisis and what’s continuing to fuel it. The term “fossil fuels” is mentioned precisely once and “oil” & “coal” & “natural gas” aren’t to be seen anywhere. Her declaration that conserving “carbon rich land” will save us from the gasoline burning cars and the coal burning power plants is wrong on every level – unless I’m the one who doesn’t understand the GW situation. A slight saving grace is how she knows about “tipping points”. The lady has a lot to learn, but that alone puts her head and shoulders above most other “mainstream” authors writing about this topic.
