    What? $2.13 per hour? That is mad. You’d have to work 2 or 3 hours for bus fare.

    Here in Ontario we have a roughly equivalent sub-minimum wage for “Liquor Servers“ of CDN$9.90 per hour and I thought that was chintzy.

    A substantial amount of sea-level rise is almost certainly baked into climate change already. Tyler Cowen has pointed out that one way to mitigate the costs is to be smart about replacing aging infrastructure. Part of the damage will be man-made if we keep building in harm’s way and subsidizing coastal construction. Less people would live on the coasts if they had to pay the true market risk rate of their decisions to see pretty sunrises and sunsets.
