  1. Berkeley soda tax article: The findings are pretty striking: While the consumption of sugary drinks decreased by 21 percent in Berkeley, it increased by 4 percent in the other cities.

    That article does not mention how the research was done. Did they control for the possibility that Berkeley residents would continue to consume soda, but buy it elsewhere?
