    Re Morell
Mr. Putin is a great leader, Mr. Trump says, ignoring that he has killed and jailed journalists and political opponents, has invaded two of his neighbors and is driving his economy to ruin.
    Heck, he’s a piker.

George W. Bush invaded two countries on the other side of the world, managed to start wars that have gone on for, what, 13 years and show no sign of ending, destabilized much of the Middle East, created his own religious terrorist group, ISIS and probably more, made the USA a byword for torture and illegal detention.

And, of course, by the standards of most of the rest of the world managed to carry out any number of war crimes. Putin is small time by these standards
    Bravo George.

Morell is no a fabulist, the entire US foreign policy establishment are delusional.

    Intellectuals are freaks
One was the nonprofit sector — the university and the nonprofit think tank — founded chiefly by gifts from the tycoons who lent these institutions their names: Stanford University, the Ford Foundation.

Given this appalling level of historical knowledge I stopped reading his drivel. Intellectuals may be freaks but he is an ignoramus or so limited by a world-view that does not extend outside the USA as to make his pronouncements rather embarrassing to listen to.
