A Georgia man panicked parents and children at a local park and baseball field by randomly walking around and displaying his gun to anyone he encountered in the parking lot.
According to witnesses who spoke with WSB-TV, the man wandered around the Forsythe County park last Tuesday night showing his gun to strangers, telling them “there’s nothing you can do about it.”
“Anyone who was just walking by – you had parents and children coming in for the game – and he’s just standing here, walking around [saying] ‘You want to see my gun? Look, I got a gun and there’s nothing you can do about it.’ He knew he was frightening people. He knew exactly what he was doing,” said parent Karen Rabb.
Rabb said that the man’s intimidating behavior panicked parents causing them to hustle children who were there to play baseball to safety after the man refused to leave.
“It got to the point where we took the kids and brought them into the dugout and the parents lined up in front of the dugout,” Rabb said.

Another parent questioned what point the man was trying to prove.
“Why would anyone be walking around a public park, with a lot of children and parents and people here playing baseball, and he’s walking around with a gun? I don’t think the parents would have been nervous had he just had the gun in his holster and was just watching the game,” said parent Paris Horton.
Rabb’s 6-year-old son Ethan was playing at the time and later expressed concern to his mother.
“When I was reading my son’s story last night, he turned to me and said ‘Mommy, did that man want to kill me?'” said Rabb.
The Forsyth County sheriff said he didn’t believe the parents and children were in any danger and that parks are constantly patrolled. He said while the man was within his rights to carry the gun, his conduct was inappropriate.
You’ll be happy to know that nothing happened to this asshole–he’s still able to carry a firearm. As I’ve noted before, when someone is being an asshole and is armed, it’s very difficult to enforce community norms–something I thought conservatives were very keen on.
Well, yes. But the main community norm that Conservatives want to enforce is the right of the Patriarchal White Male to terrorize women and children and other inferiors. You can’t forget that datum.
I believe that this guy is a ‘terrorist’ in that he literally terrorized people with his behavior today. Wonder if the reaction would be different if he looked like a ‘terrorist’.
This is a disaster waiting to happen. Even people in Alaska are saying, “huh”?
So much for the “An armed society is a polite society” platitude.
Or was that only going to be a one way street to begin with?
But that is EXACTLY the type of politeness they want. Notice how the guy was saying shit and no one told him to fuck off because he was waving a gun around? That is what they want. They want the right to be fucking assholes without any consequences. They want uncontested “dominance” in the public arena. This guy really could have been shot to death legally, I think. “I’ve got a gun and there’s nothing you can do” sounds like the opening lines to a kidnap attempt.
