Putting Wall Street Bonuses in Context

To put this in perspective, the NIH budget in 2014 is $29.9. Let’s talk about jobs:


Keep in mind this is bonus money–the Wall Streeters receiving the bonuses already have jobs, this is just spending money. Meanwhile NIH spending is estimated to create directly and indirectly around 16,000 jobs per billion–488,000 jobs. Does anyone think those Wall Street bonuses would create 48,000 jobs per billion?

Don’t think so either.
