    The Crud: Viral or Bacterial? > “Antibiotic resistance genes flit from bacterium to bacterium, like starships wandering among the planets of a solar system.”

    Except that antibiotic resistance genes are not fictional, and bacteria are not in orbit, and a starship approaching a planet would leave the previous one. Other than that, a very apt comparison.
